The project aims to develop, validate, and deploy software (SW) that leverages the flexibility of EV charging stations to optimize the distribution system (DS), accounting for renewable energy sources (RES), integrating new DS control capabilities (e.g., V2G), and meeting operational safety criteria (e.g., voltage node standards).
A digital DS model will be created to safely verify different optimization strategies, enabling validation of SW behavior and performance before real-world deployment.
Testing will also occur in real conditions at a pilot site in a selected urban area with high low-voltage feeder loads from public EV charging.
