Preparation of the first (pilot) project of a battery system for frequency regulation in the Czech Republic. Capacity: 4MW, storage: 2.8MWh, integrated into a block with a turbo generator at Tušimice power plant.

⚪︎ Design solution and application: primarily FCR (frequency regulation), battery in a block with a turbo generator.
⚪︎ Identification of a suitable location within the ČEZ portfolio.
⚪︎ Functional and technical specification of the pilot device (basis for final decision, in cooperation with DNV GL).
⚪︎ Economic model of feasibility.
⚪︎ Proposal of contract terms for pilot operation between ČEZ and ČEPS, with the consent of ERÚ (BAART pilot project).
⚪︎ Plan for the pilot operation.
The device was put into operation in December 2019, and as of 2023, it remains the largest battery system in the Czech Republic.
