The study focuses on projections of the growth in the number of electric trucks and the related charging infrastructure needed in the Czech Republic until 2035.
⚪︎ By 2030, around 6,000 eTrucks could be registered in the Czech Republic (medium scenario), mostly in the urban and domestic transport segments.
⚪︎ > 75% of charging will take place on non-public charging infrastructure with relatively small charging capacities (roughly up to 150 kW).
⚪︎ Total electricity consumption of eTrucks in 2030 will not exceed 1 % of the country’s total consumption.
⚪︎ The electrification of heavy goods transport in the next 10 years will be conditional on direct subsidy support for the purchase of vehicles. At the same time, it would be advisable to focus subsidy support on the development of both public and non-public charging infrastructure.
