The study involved a description of the technical and economic parameters of the new technologies for energy storage, such as batteries and flywheels, and an overview of their applications. The aim of the study was to identify prospective directions that could be further developed in the form of a pilot project. The contents in brief:

In the Czech Republic this was a pioneering study looking at battery technologies and their applications in the energy sector. However, back in 2012 it was too early to convince investors about a pilot project. It had to wait until 2017.
