A feasibility study and a pilot operation design for 4MW/2.8 MWh Battery Energy Storage System for frequency regulation
The objective was to identify a feasible project design and develop a contract for pilot operation under cooperation between CEZ (the provider) and CEPS (the Czech TSO). The assignment followed on from the “Overview of technologies and applications of electricity storage, indication of the feasibility of selected applications in the Czech Republic” project that LEEF compiled for the investor between 2010 and 2012. The contents in brief:
Feasibility of battery storage systems to provide ancillary services in the Czech Republic
Pilot project design (application, technology, site)
The functional and technical specification of the installation
Economic feasibility model
ČEZ-ČEPS terms of cooperation and pilot operation plan
